Better than other high-end custom-fit mats

I purchased these floor mats after wanting a quality custom made winterized waterproof floor mat for my Jeep Patriot. I purchased Weather Tech floor mats for my Chevy Tahoe a few years ago and have been disappointed. First, the sides and corners seemed to curl, leaving gaps that didn't look good. Also, the odd tan they had didn't match my Tahoe's tan, and yet I don't think my Tahoe's tan is abnormal. I think Weather Ridge's tan is abnormal. looks more pinkish brown and clashes a bit with the brown plastic and brown carpeting in the Tahoe. So when I was looking for new floor mats for my Patriot I was hoping Weather Tech would come up with a better color but online it looked the same as before. The Husky floor mats didn't produce a brown color on my Patriot so I had to go with black which I thought would look bad most of the time as I'm sure the dirt would show up a lot more on a dark black mat than plain brown. . However, the photos of the Rugged Ridge mats I saw on the internet looked strange. The raised zigzag pattern just felt too harsh in mud/snow pockets that deep and was a bit odd overall. I took a chance and ordered them when another review mentioned something about the mats being more flexible (almost rubbery) and better for tanning than weather mats. I'm really glad I chose the rugged ridge. They color match my jeep's tan perfectly and they don't have the cheap hard plastic feel of the weather mats and I'm used to a harder core/deep zig zag pattern and look very nice. in my car. The softer/rubber material is also much more comfortable. Overall a great product and I'm glad I risked it.
