because these shoes are for dancing, the soles are just for the floor. I ordered these because of the short heels, I can't wear high heels and have been looking for low heel shoes for a long time. I took them to a shoe repair shop and glued the soles and heels on so I could walk on concrete and other hard surfaces. keep this in mind when purchasing. These shoes are for ballroom/flamenco but they are very good for the price. They also run large, so order one size smaller or half a size smaller. I had to send them back and order a different size as they don't exchange, just refund.
