When I first opened the box, I found that the box had a different manufacturer's name on it, which isn't a serious issue, but other issues were starting to bother me. The first thing that struck me was that this bar is lightweight and I wanted to love it. So I decided to install the GoPro on the adapter that came with it. The first thing I noticed was that the screw holding the camera in place didn't go all the way in. After playing around with it a bit, I found that it didn't fit because it was cross-threaded and that I had to align it by hand. Again not terrible but definitely not perfect and indicative of poor quality materials. While I could rationalize buying a new adapter based on price and weight, the 1/4 screw on the bar was useless. The filaments seemed to get thinner the further down you went, letting the Go Pro adapter rotate freely when it should be fully installed. I looked around the box to see if I was missing a stretcher or foam pad that could be added to help get rid of that goo, but nothing was included. The absence of these elements indicates to me that it was designed without them and therefore this failure is the result of poor quality materials used to make the bar. Overall I can't trust the observation based durability so I would recommend looking elsewhere for a monopod.
