I was surprised by many things when we received these cute little opal earrings. The first thing that struck me was that although they were packaged in a small box that protected them well, the pins on the five earrings were curved rather than straight and had distinct curves or were not aligned with the surface of the stone. / Installation is good. The adjustments themselves are just two small pieces of wire bent into a U shape and then soldered together. The length of the wires does not match the setting, as does the shape and radius of the bend in the settings. I was able to straighten some of the bent posts and try to make the post more perpendicular to the adjustment but couldn't go too far. I noticed that the metal is very soft and bends easily. I was afraid of bending them too much and breaking them. This means that all of these issues are production related. It cannot be that these problems are caused by shipping, especially with bent stands. This shows that these are very cheap earrings and that the manufacturer has very low quality standards. If you compare them to the photos on the website they will not be compared to the photos there. What we received looks like a cheap imitation of what is shown in the photos. It's not all bad but the good news is that the opals are very light and darker than those shown in the listing. The blue is much darker and I was surprised at how beautiful this stone looks. They come with two sets of backs. A metal set and a rubber back set so you can use the ones that work best for you. We have not noticed any irritation from wearing it. Considering the quality issues, I have to say that they are way overpriced for their current price and overall I'm not impressed with them.
