Pros and cons

My 10 year old Kenwood 2 din touch screen has stopped working. I bought the in dash to replace and this head unit seemed like a great deal to me. Professional. It included a camera and wiring to install it. I already had a backup camera installed so I just plugged in my existing RCA connector. Here's the con, when I put the truck in reverse it automatically turned on the video for backup with my Kenwood head unit. Not in this block. There's nothing in the instructions to suggest what I'm doing wrong. My solution: I connected the rear camera to the main unit's front camera RCA input and selected the front camera icon on the main screen and it works. It's not automatic, but it works now. A professional. You can connect a microphone to use it for BT calls. The con, it didn't include a microphone, I reused a Kenwood microphone, I haven't tested it at the time of writing this article. A professional. It contains an IR remote control and another IR remote control that attaches to the steering wheel. They have not been tested at the time of writing this article. It has L/R RCA outputs for external amplifiers. But only 1 set, so no separate front and rear cinch outputs. I had to buy 2 RCA splitters to connect the front and rear RCA outputs to my amp. Several professionals. The screen looks great, sounds really good, hooked up to my Kenwood 5 channel amp, it was very easy to set up, the touchscreen is responsive. The BT connection was very easy and automatic once the head unit was paired for the first time. So far it does everything my 10 year old Kenwood module did. And if it could last a few years it would definitely be worth the money. Remember that if you need a microphone for BT calls, you need to buy one. You may need to buy 2 RCA splitters to connect to the amp to have front and rear RCA connectors for your 4 or 5 channel amp. You may need to purchase a wiring harness adapter for your factory radio wiring harness (highly recommended) and dash mounting kit for your specific vehicle.

Cons
