Review on 🧡 SINGER Confidence 7469Q Computerized & Quilting Sewing Machine - Easy Sewing with Built-In Needle Threader, 98 Stitches - White by Carla Anderson

Good knitting machine. Neck size limits me to lap/twin or QAYG quilts.

Purchased in 2011. Used for quilting from table runners to double size quilts. In 2018 I bought a very large Sew Steady Long Top and it helped a lot with resistance to compressed fabrics. The only downside I have is the feeder lowering switch on the back of the machine which is hard to reach with the Sew Steady top. The Singer extension comes with my 7469q plus accessory box which does not include the walking foot. I bought a Singer with walking leg online. Free movement works better for me as I improve my hand and foot (on the petal) coordination. So far there is no problem with the thread tension of single-layer cotton fabric up to four layers (top/bottom cotton material and one/two layers cotton fleece). Sandwich. I do not sew denim or non-cotton fabrics. I like to comb out cotton and lint after each project, but I've had trouble removing the needle plate after unscrewing it. I kept trying to pull the needle plate to the right, but once I pulled it toward me, the needle plate was easy to remove and reinsert. After the throat plate was removed, the spool holder could be easily removed to prevent dust from accumulating in this area. I only use the brush that comes with the attachments to comb out the fluff. I wish Singer would offer lower-end machines with a wider neck area, but it looks like we're being pushed towards $1000 sewing machines for that, and I don't have that much money. I have not used buttonhole or twin needle functions so I cannot rate them.
