At first I was amazed by the performance of this speaker. Yes, as other reviews have said, you need to increase the value to get good sound quality. I bought a subwoofer and bookshelf speakers. They worked well and suddenly after the volume went past 50 they started cutting. I tried playing around with the settings but after a few seconds at higher volume it just turned off. I cannot return this product but luckily I have taken out an insurance package. I am sending it back for repair and can update my rating afterwards. Overall I would not recommend this product. I have a 1978 receiver in my living room and have NEVER had a problem.
