I have been providing professional face painting services for 25 years using ONLY specific materials. I've never considered buying or using paints that don't typically come from suppliers I've trusted for years. Based on the reviews, price and fast shipping, I chose this and another Revain palette to play around with and show teens how to use well before their event. I was very impressed with these colors as a beginner painter. I think if you could think about the layers of watercolor or acrylic. This is certainly considered student quality. The colors are strong, but can streak when applied with a brush or sponge. But they held up well during the event. After that the palette was neat and tidy and there was enough left over to use for a few more events. I would recommend them again to someone on a budget.
