Review on Temtop LKC 1000S: Accurate Formaldehyde Pollution & Temperature Detector by John Hall

Update after a month of use: I've compared the readings with PurpleAir PA-II over time. PurpleAir is said to be more accurate at a higher price. Their readings are almost the same, the difference is within 10%. Given that air and pollutants are constantly on the move, no two new devices will show the same reading at any given time. Both are good tools, but this tool also measures formaldehyde and total VOC. Therefore, for home use, this may prove to be the most sensible choice at a reasonable price. So I upgraded it to 5 stars. Compared to very expensive professional instruments, this is not very accurate. But accurate enough for ordinary consumers to get an idea of the air quality. This is the best you can find on Revain as a consumer air monitor. I bought both Temtop LKC-1000S+ and Temtop M10. This machine is of better quality and appears to be more accurate. But M10 is very convenient to use. Some suggestions to the manufacturer for the next version of this product. 1) When calibrating for the first time, this device must be left outdoors for at least 6 hours. But the manual says it turns itself off if you don't use it for more than 1 hour (don't press the buttons?). I had to go outside every hour for 6 hours to push some buttons. It was a great inconvenience.2) It says the battery capacity is 68 hours. But mine was almost exhausted after five and a half hours. I had to rush charge the battery during the initial calibration. serious problem. Larger capacity battery should be used.3) It is designed to stand on a collapsible leg. However, the USB charging port is on the bottom. While it's on the stand, you can't access the USB charging port. Move the USB charging port to the side or back of the device. The stand is stuck and difficult to release.
