I bought this great value device to replace my gold series PS4 headset. In comparison: Pros: The Recon 70 is lighter and more comfortable, doesn't require a separate charge (wired to the controller), I prefer its volume wheel over the PS Gold buttons, the flip-switch mic works well, and the overall sound quality is good. Cons: Sound isn't as good as PS Gold's dynamic surround sound and there's no chat volume control like PS Gold = If your friends' mic volume is low, you can't hear them well without asking them to adjust ask their microphone volume.
