I bought this headset but it doesn't even have a mute switch. EDIT: You can disable this mic, it just doesn't have an actual switch, which annoys me. But you can turn it off and otherwise it works fine.

I am very impressed with these headphones. They might not have all the little gadgets and gizmos you need, but they have everything you need: no adapter needed, no battery to worry about, a cool little flip-up mic, and you get the same Turtle Beach -Quality at this price. low (and reasonable) price. Sounds great, microphone picks up great, mute works. BUT it feels like there is a heating element in both earphones after being upside down for 15 minutes. The speakers must have an amplifier in each muff that generates enough heat to carry them continuously for more than 30-45 minutes. Protocol. If you only want to use them for very short gaming sessions I would advise you to use them but I want my money back!

In comparison: Pros: The Recon 70 is lighter and more comfortable, doesn't require a separate charge (wired to the controller), I prefer its volume wheel over the PS Gold buttons, the flip-switch mic works well, and the overall sound quality is good.
