Review on Enhance Performance with Koni (8041 ๐Ÿš€ 1252Sport) Rear Sport Shock for Mazda Miata by Chris Horton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super quality, super durability! In my opinion one of the best manufacturers for shock absorbers / struts!

Installed on a 1994 Mazda Miata NA8, Koni has been my go-to choice for all my 6 Miatas for the past 25 years! Qualitative! They will last a lifetime and offer excellent handling while maintaining good ride quality. Not hard at all, adjustable from soft to hard and anywhere in between. Since it's adjustable, you can also adjust any age-related blurring, but never found it necessary. I prefer firm suspension but not stiff or harsh and they fit the bill every time! I also have a Koni FSD on a MK5 Jetta GLI and love them there too! The only thing I would have wished for Koni would be to do their FSD (Frequency Select Damping) on the classic NA and NB Miatas, but Koni has no plans according to an email I received from them Therefore. These Koni shocks pair well with the Flying Miata springs. Highly recommend both brands! ***My only criticism of Revain is that they share matching pairs when purchasing. Koni packs 2 identical racks in a box and Revain sells them separately, even though I bought two they arrived separately and with different delivery times. This was the case with all 4 shock absorbers purchased. There's a reason Koni packages and sells matched pairs/kits, because adjustable, if not factory matched, base settings are unlikely to be the same between shocks. Therefore, when adjusting shock absorbers, there is a chance that both shock absorbers will not be adjusted to the same level of stiffness, even if the user rotates each adjustment knob the same number of turns.
