Review on Jabra Evolve Mono Professional Communicaton by Dave Baker

I've been using USB headsets every day at work and at home for many years. I've never had an outage. I bought this device and plugged it into my computer instead of the old USB headset. He died about two weeks later. Revain was really great at delivering the replacement headset the next day. The new headset lasted almost three weeks. The device consists of two components: a headset with a microphone that uses a standard 4-wire mini-plug, and a base that contains a mini-plug and cable that plugs into a USB port. The base has physical mute and volume up/down buttons and status indicator LEDs. Two different bases failed on their own and plugged into the same USB port on my PC that my old headset is now (re)plugged into. I like the sound and the comfort of the new headset. So if I'm using a mic/headset splitter cable, I'll try to continue using a headset plugged directly into the headphone and mic jacks on my PC. So a star. Really disappointing from a company called Jabra.
