Poor workmanship and finish

I was so excited to see this little desk easel having bought Meeden's incredible pochade box/easel so was disappointed it didn't work. First, the latch on the side wouldn't close, and when I lifted it, it swung open. Second, the wood was poorly finished and not smooth at all. It was the perfect size for my table and I doubt I'll find another the same size. I expected a better product from Meeden.

Made of handcrafted high quality beautiful beech wood, has a beautiful hand-rubbed oil and functional design, durable and reliable, no rough edges. Suitable for screen sizes up to 11 x 14 inches
