I was very disappointed when I put this product on my Tamron 70-200mm. If you look at the photo of the product, there are not big gaps between the parts. I figured this would provide some protection from the elements as it appears the pieces are slightly overlapping or at least touching. The people at LensCoat were quick to reply to my emails but kept repeating that this does not make the lens waterproof and sometimes the parts don't touch. I never asked about the water resistance. Obviously this doesn't make the lens waterproof. Just judging by the photo it all came up. As soon as I sent a photo to LensCoat when requested, the emails stopped. I wonder why? All I can say is that the photo I posted speaks for itself. You can decide if you want to spend $80 for something that doesn't match what you see in the product photo. This is a return to Revane. I'm sorry Revane, you're great, but I need to get that back. 2 stars because it looks cool but isn't worth $80. If you are a wildlife photographer, this product has the look you are looking for. Much luck!
