I'm so excited when I got it! It cost money, sweat and crawling in the attic. I already had a cat5e cable from the router to the tv and it worked fine for the internet but not with this one. I tested it with a fresh roll of Cat6 cable and it worked. So I just had to replace the old wire, which was a tough experience because my attic isn't designed for people other than Spider-Man. But I got around this by tying the new wire to the old wire and running it up and down the attic. I nearly passed out and died from the heat and hyperventilation of my body contorting through inhuman obstacles (fucking, shitty builders!), but it was worth it. it does not work. However, the Cat5e cable I had was too long and old, so that could be the cause. Tip to the wise: If you're planning on placing a new piece of wire, test it first on the wire you intend to use before crawling around the attic or wall-fishing. Installing Cat6 was the hard part but adding this device was super easy and works like a charm.
