This is a good product and works as expected. I like that it's wide so I can place it on my couch in horizontal stripes so my cat doesn't scratch. My cats like to lick and bite a smaller, vertical band. You can't remove this tape because of its width and because I lay it horizontally instead. I can easily remove and replace if necessary. It's difficult to get the white backing off, but if you bend the corner before sticking it to the furniture, that corner will come off a little more easily. My cats don't scratch my couch for the most part (I keep adding stripes where they can reach them), instead switching to cardboard and sisal scratching posts. All in all a great product!
