I have been using these collars for dog training for many years. I chose this one because of the price and the misconception that they are all almost the same. NOT CORRECT. I sized the collar for my dog (a Lab/Healer mix) and went for a quick walk. Everything seemed fine. However, after about a week of use and longer walks, my dog started pulling heavily due to the neighbor's dog barking on the fence. When I jerked sharply to correct the pull, she squeaked. The rest of the trek was uneventful. After a few days I bathed her and found a large scab on her neck. It was in the shape of a teardrop. I checked the collar and actually found that the pins weren't sanded, they were simply clipped off with sharp-edged bits of wire. Instead of tightening, some grab the skin and, in this case, tear it. DO NOT BUY THESE! They are cheap because they are cheaply made.
