Review on Camco 22243 Drain Valve Male by Marcus Loeffler

Pretty easy replacement that works great. For my setup it was as easy as unscrewing the old drain valve and screwing this one back on. No tape and don't overtighten. I also had to cut off a 3/8" bar as my tank had a 1/2" fitting. In doing so I first opened the valve all the way, then inserted a 3/8" thread into the rubber jaws of my vise. Be careful with this. Check before you turn it for the first time. Despite all the bad reviews about this product from the valve and doesn't come out of the threads, I think at least some of these people had plastic shavings in the valve when they cut a 3/8" bar and then twisted the valve and got stuck between the plastic and leaking. Also, this is NOT FOR A PRESSURE LINE It is a cistern valve, do not connect it to a pressure line and then complain that the product sucks.
