Review on JENSEN SR 50 Portable Digital Radio by Dana Bennett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's a little smaller than it looks in the photo, but it's a good radio.

I like it, it has a sleep timer, it uses 4 AA batteries and has pretty decent sound quality because it's a digital PLL setting and it's relatively sensitive I suppose This particular model has not been infected by the DSP chip craze, at least all indicators seem to indicate that the tuning does not deviate from frequency, as a conventional DSP analogue radio often suffers from not being able to previously to fine-tune the frequency setting it comes from the assembly area of this factory production facility. Update: I had some issues with the long battery life, but it goes without saying that when I had the batteries seemed to last for months before the batteries would die out during use. turned off, but it should be noted that I only used it occasionally before bed to catch a few messages. So unless you bother to buy an adapter for this radio, it eats up 4 AA even when it's turned off. sl. I currently have it without a battery as I didn't want to risk a leak when not in use, but after reading a few other reviews one of these sounds exactly like one of the fatal flaws of a DSP radio when turning the volume all the way up makes the VCO impossible , effectively destroying the ability of the radio's "DSP chip" to do something that typical analog (non-DSP) radios almost never have trouble with when the volume is cranked to the max.
