The original wiper arm on my Focus broke the first time I tried to replace the blade and that was a while ago. Luckily, they've come down in price since then. I wish they had more metal than plastic, but after 5+ years with the same blade because the original arm broke, I'm glad I finally have a new blade that doesn't leave streaks. the old hand is gone. I bought a 2 arm puller from Harbor Freight which did the job. If your hand is stuck, use extreme caution when attempting to pull it out without a puller. The motor shaft is keyed, so do not try to unscrew the lever. You need to pull your arm straight out to avoid a potentially costly repair.
