Review on Denso 234 9015 Fuel Ratio Sensor by Chris Jens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

GREAT PRODUCT!: Oxygen

I drive a 2003 Subaru Baja and recently noticed on my dash that my 'Check Engine' light was on. After having the engine analyzed at the dealer, I was told that I needed to replace the "upstream" oxygen sensor. They charged me $215 for the part and another $250 for the installation. OH! I gave up selling services and figured I'd try to do this repair myself. After all, it can't be brain surgery. After extensive research on the internet, I found out that DENSO is the OEM for Subaru's own oxygen sensor. The DENSO oxygen sensor part number 234-9015 was the perfect replacement. I was able to purchase this part through Revain and have it shipped to my door overnight for only $106. I did the install myself and while I'm far from a mechanic, I successfully completed the install in about 40 minutes (now that I know how to do it, it only takes about 20 minutes!). After removing the old Subaru oxygen sensor, I compared it to the new DENSO oxygen sensor #234-9015. Apart from the color of the wires, they were identical in every way. Of course it was a plug and play setup. Immediately after installation, I started the car and checked the dashboard. TAH DAH. My "Check Engine" light is no longer on. The car was successfully repaired. money in your pocket!
