I needed a vacuum with a handle and here it is. I used a small handheld vacuum and bent down to pick up the clumps of dog hair that my two dogs leave behind all the time. I even considered gluing a broom handle to my hand vacuum! Now I don't bend all the time. I have a bad back, so it's very important to me. Even at low power, the hair is lifted. I use higher power for spilled dry dog food or bird seed. Very easy to empty the very small bowl that catches hair every time I use it. This is by no means intended to replace a full-fledged vacuum cleaner - it simply lacks suction power and performance. I am so glad I found this vacuum cleaner and as far as I can tell there is nothing better than this. Another model I bought last year actually blew off dog hair instead of picking it up. I don't use a flashlight on the end of the handle, mostly because I don't think about it. It's very easy. I use it with one hand. I charge it overnight when it seems to need it, which isn't often since I only let it run for a few minutes a few times a day. I just can't praise this little vacuum cleaner!
