They last about 12 months

Excellent product, sucks up well. We don't put anything on the carpet (which is about 18 months old). We vacuum about 3 times a week (as we have a dog and three cats). The filters are easy to clean, I just rinse them in the sink and then dry them on the back porch. After about 12 months they only have to be replaced.
