Review on Engine Oil Pan Gaskets for Dodge Dakota Durango Nitro Ram 1500, Jeep Commander Liberty Grand Cherokee Raider 3.7L (2002-2011) - Vincos OS30743R by Sean Bond

My answer is long but informative.

Fits as expected but does not come with a new oil pickup pipe gasket which needs to be removed to remove the old oil pan gasket from the cylinder block. . How well it works remains to be seen. So far no leaks that I can detect. Additional notes for those unfamiliar with replacing these gaskets in a 3.7 liter Jeep Grand Cherokee: The gasket is much more adherent to the oil pan than it is to the engine block, and the oil pan must be removed before removing the gasket can. Trust me when I tell you that separating the gasket from the oil pan is very frustrating. You should use all the tools, but be careful as the pan's left center "ear" is very easy to bend. I have a 4x4 and was looking at U Toob how to do this. There were several methods and you can use any of them, but I removed the passenger side bolt that holds the front axle tube. I left the entire front axle assembly. I then removed the strut bolts from the bracket that sits between the diff and the front crossmember. I did not remove or loosen any of the bolts holding the differential directly in place. There are also three bolts on the end of this bracket which also need to be removed to allow enough clearance to then use a ratchet strap to pull the differential out. Push the front axle forward and hold it on the cross member. It's still a tight space, but if you rotate the tray slightly as you lower it, there's room. By doing this I have avoided removing the CV axle tube and axle shaft, passenger front wheel and hub assembly including the brake/caliper assembly, after which it is necessary to align the differential and change the oil. One method is to remove the driver's side engine mount and just lift the right side of the engine, but to do this you will need to remove the intake manifold to clean the intake manifold. I bought a new Revain oil pan for $27 just in case I appreciate it and I ended up using it. I could have flattened the doctor-facing part of the flange and reused the old cup, but after accidentally slicing my ring finger to the bone and removing the tip of my left pinky while trying to clean the old gasket (as I said , it REALLY wants to stick to the pan), I decided I wouldn't go any further with the OEM pan. If you find or know an easier method, please use it to make things easier for you. By draining and filtering the oil through a freshly replaced coffee filter, I was able to get the job done for about $75 compared to an estimate of $1800. I can't confirm what the 2WD process would have been like, but I'm sure it would be easier because the 4x4 components limit the space to pull the pan out. best for you World.
