The flux worked as it should. The syringe made it easy to place the gel in just the right spot. However, the stickiness of the gel became an issue when the flux got into one of the connectors on the board. Once heated, the flux will turn into a sticky goo after cooling and resolidifying. Otherwise the connections may become blocked and require cleaning. It stays where you put it while it's cold, which is great, but it leaks a lot when heated. Be careful when using it near ports. Isolate the area if possible.
