The best way to describe it is you get what you pay for. I was hoping for a slight upgrade from the 30-year-old Contractor model it replaced, but that didn't happen. I was attracted by the price and that is the best part of the device. Low speed is practically useless. During installation I checked the airflow through the damper (not included) and the high speed opens it fully. Low speed opens the damper about half an inch. High speed is pretty loud, even after adding a 1 inch layer of Celotex to try to muffle the sound. I used equivalent 40 watt LED bulbs but they weren't enough. 60W equivalent bulbs are much better but due to their construction most of the light is diffused inside the housing. There is no light reflector. It was easy to install, and since we don't cook much that actually requires ventilation, we'll live with that. Pros: Price, easy to install, it actually moves enough air at high speed. Cons: Almost useless fan at low speed, noisy at high speed, bad lighting, to clean the filter you have to unscrew the panel.
