Silver Broan Aluminum Power Pack Insert: Kitchen Stove Exhaust Fan & Light Combo, 8.0 Sones, 250 CFM Review

Disappointed with this product I had a professional electrician install it. Worked great for 7 months. Now a few days ago it started making noises in the engine compartment and the ventilation function just stopped working (the led lights keep working). I'm trying to contact Broan about the 1 year warranty. Even if the product is replaced, I still have the cost of a professional replacement.

Bought with Broan LB30 hood liner - overall I'm happy with their performance! The fan is a bit noisy at high speeds, but has a lot of power. For the price, this device really can't be beat! I had to improvise a bit on how the vent connects to the hood because I built it around - all the way east to put some screws on the bottom (as opposed to the side as it happens). Unit works well aside from installing screws that need to be changed, Dan has plenty of power - can't complain!

Easy install for the average handyman with some carpentry skills. The fan is noisy at high speed but handles the fumes quickly so you don't have to keep it running for long. Still not sure if it works at low frequencies but very quiet. Outstanding light. A set for 2 bulbs. Two are always on. Excellent. I am very happy with this hood. The LEDs are very bright and not glaring. The vent does a good job of pulling out air and smoke. (thanks hubby) My stove is a 30 inch gas stove. We've replaced the giant over-the-stove dinosaur microwave with this range hood and it's the perfect solution. Replaced the old hood fan and liner. This is the same part from the same manufacturer that I replaced but 18 years newer. The old one had a flange on the blower unit so it could just be screwed into the sleeve with a metal screw. It also had a standard 7 inch vent outlet. As new and technically in order. The best way to describe it is you get what you pay for. I was hoping for a slight upgrade from the 30-year-old Contractor model it replaced, but that didn't happen.
