Review on Silver Broan Aluminum Power Pack Insert: Kitchen Stove Exhaust Fan & Light Combo, 8.0 Sones, 250 CFM by Randy Holt

I was quite satisfied with the ease of assembly, I also ordered a stainless steel insert (is absolutely necessary). However, the device only lasted a few minutes before a light switch problem arose. The device had a defective light switch, the fan switch was OK. The light didn't go out. My husband contacted Broan by phone who said the switch he needed was out of stock so it would take some time to get it. That was last week so still waiting for the switch exchange. The rep said we could return the entire unit but that would be a lot of work as everything is installed with the liner, electrical and exhaust pipes. We have had a bath, kitchen and other Broan products for years as we have built 3 homes in 45 years and this is the first issue we have had with a defective product. I would like to rate it higher but not sure if the quality is as good as previous years. According to my husband, the switch is cheaply made. I'll wait and see how support takes care of the problem.
