The manufacturer must strengthen this axis. It is common knowledge that the 2000-2007 Sequoia tailgate latch is poorly designed, causing it to break repeatedly. Therefore, you need to find the best possible handle or find another way to open the back door. That locking handle won't fix the problem for long (at all in my case).
