Nice to look at. However, the size of the mounting plate and base is so small that you would need a perfectly cut sheet of drywall and a back box to cover the electrical wiring. It also reads 10w max e12 candelabra bulbs. I put 40 watt bulbs in and they still work but still so dim. This hardly makes sense even for accent lighting. It's unlikely you'll want it hardwired or expect any real benefit from it. Looks great as a good light. Or maybe it would be great to light up a painting in the hallway. It's recommended not to buy unless you want a cute accent light and that's it. Hardly worth the money as it should be cheaper and more accurately described. Looks great. But at best it's more of a cute accent light.
