Bought for a basement project. Came broken (see photo). Unfortunately, the return period had already expired when it was time to turn on the light. The quality of the material is well below average if they can't even have good quality control. Dissatisfied customer. All you have to do is throw it away as it cannot be repaired and use it as a "lesson learned".

I wanted a light to plug in and then realized that this light had to be hardwired. Too bad. I was about to return it until I realized how EASY it was to add the plug and cord! So no complaints. The light is great and just the design I needed for a room in my old barn style house.

I'm decorating my basement and bought a couple of these to install. They were well packaged and arrived quite quickly. They're also pretty easy to install. The insides are gold and I bought 2700k warm LED bulbs which together with the gold inside give off a dull yellow light that's easy on the eye but that's the look we wanted in the basement. If you like it brighter, you should definitely use a brighter bulb. Overall, you can't beat the price and the lights do their job.

These would be great in a dramatic dark room. I hung them over my turquoise cabinets and they looked TERRIBLE because of the glowing gold inside. Gold should really only go with a very specific color palette. I ended up painting the inside even though I love them. They don't put out much light even after trying many different bulbs. However, they can work in many places and are perfectly combined with a black wall for a great moody atmosphere.

We installed one of these in an uncomfortable, poorly lit hallway that has our large but (formerly) dark storage room on one side and an empty wall on the other. Other. This light is the perfect solution as we now have two lights illuminating our pantry and the other illuminating the artwork on the opposite wall. It's a nice, bright place now. Nice to look at. However, the size of the mounting plate and base is so small that you would need a perfectly cut sheet of drywall and a back box to cover the electrical wiring. It also reads 10w max e12 candelabra bulbs. I put 40 watt bulbs in and they still work but still so dim. This hardly makes sense even for accent lighting. The light is solid and well built. I was surprised as it was quite cheap. I agree with some reviewers on three things: the base is too small, the gold paint on the inside gives a yellow glow, and using 40w incandescent bulbs doesn't produce much light. Well in my case the base wasn't an issue as I was doing a clean install so I used a 4" switch box that completely covered the 5" base.
