Review on πŸ”§ Carpenter Air Tools CCN45 Pneumatic: Efficient Air-Powered Solution for Carpentry Projects by Ryan Foles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Holds up well despite my violence.

First things first: I'm not a roofer, I bought this for a side project and thought I might sell it when I'm done. occasionally on the siding. Second: I have some experience with them. I used to work in a roofing workshop and regularly repaired all kinds of pneumatic nail guns. It is well built, drives nails well and flies easily. All I had available due to access to the only pebble project I would use this gun on was a sad little pancake compressor. It only worked 10% of the time and I was at a good pace. The rubber bumpers kept it in place when I put it on the 5/12 roof, the grip is comfortable, it's not too heavy and the adjustments allow everything to be set up perfectly. I only installed a few hardboards. so far with it, but it runs nails through cement siding just fine. Vinyl is next, and I've already set the gun to hold the vinyl instead of grabbing it with every shot. You can not ask for more. It holds up well for all the random shit I do too. I just hung some homemade film under an old house where the wood was too heavy for a stapler and I didn't have a wide air crown. I decided to get rid of the box of nails that got caught in the rain and were pretty rusty. I've gone through 25 spools of nails to be thrown in the bin without a single sticking or misfire, just had to clean up the mess after I was done. I have restored too many Hitachis, Bostitchs and Dewalts to ever dare to spend my money on them. I have no doubt that this weapon will outlive them and maybe even match a good Paslode or Max.
