Not black. Toned grey. I wouldn't recommend it if you want a bottle that blocks the light completely.
The one I received is dark in color but doesn't look like the photo at all. I was planning on filling them with a dilute solution of hydrogen peroxide, so I ordered "black" expecting solid black plastic. Instead, I have what looks more like gray sunglasses. It might block enough light, but I won't risk it. The seller needs to change the photo so people know what they are getting.
