Earlier this year I purchased a Bodum Bistro gooseneck kettle direct from the Bodum website. After about three months, rust began to appear on the teapot where the bottom of the teapot mates with the rest of the teapot. I've only used it a handful of times and only hand washed it. I contacted Bodum customer service and they only replied twice, each email implying that I had caused the rust by either: 1) descaling too often (I only started descaling after noticing rust before I contacted customer service)) 2) placed the kettle on the stove so that the flame goes over the edge of the kettle (which was not possible as I use an electric stove). After I replied to these two emails, Bodum support stopped responding at all. Disappointed not with the kettle but with how rude and questionable their after sales practices are. They mainly focused on finding ways to blame the consumer so they didn't have to honor their warranty, and when that didn't work they unilaterally decided to stop responding altogether.
