I have a 2005 Mazda 6 and was having a problem with acceleration, the check engine light would not come on. I could take the car and floor the accelerator all the way and the car would start accelerating but it would start spattering but the engine still wouldn't catch fire. Throttle valve cleaned, air mass meter cleaned with air mass cleaner, a bit dirty, still the same. Splash thing, no engine light. I bought candles and wires, but there is no relief. took my car to the mechanic, said it was the o2 sensors or catalytic converter clogged. But I know the O2 sensors are flashing the engine code. took off the oxygen sensors to make sure the car doesn't squirt when there is a pressure relief hole but nothing. ENOUGH with the car, leave it for a month. SO I THOUGHT MYSELF that with a weak ignition the spark would not be strong and therefore would burn the fuel that was present. So I took a chance, it's only $20, no big deal so I put it on with ease, crossed my fingers and lit it, stepping on the gas pedal to my amazement. the engine caught fire, I don't know how long it will last, but I'll leave it until it dies
