May not be the best option for small fish

After setting up an aquarium with about an inch of gravel and a plant. My beta fish got stuck in the water intake for 5 minutes and couldn't free itself. The pump seems very powerful for the size of the tank. I'll try to completely block the entrance with gravel and see if that helps I think
