My wife and I both suffer from back pain; some as a result of the onset of aging and in my case also as a result of trauma. We slept on a fairly hard and fairly comfortable regular mattress. However, we had back pains which I put down to age etc. When we visited our youngest daughter, who was pregnant at the time, she said that after about 6 months of pregnancy she was having terrible back pain. A friend recommended this topper to her and she swears it has almost completely eliminated her pain. As a skeptic, I refused to believe that a 3 inch mattress topper could make such a big difference.
