This joystick shows up in many searches along with more expensive options (which I tried to avoid). It's a "nice" setup, but personally I'm not a fan of "clicking" joysticks, so I avoided buying a fighting game that I like. When Street Fight 30th Anniversary came out, I just couldn't resist. After an intensive search and various test reports as well as the price, I decided on the Hori Real Arcade Pro 4. I was happy with the responsiveness of the buttons, but the joystick caused a bit of frustration when attempting to perform certain movements that weren't a problem with the true analog (non-clicking) joysticks Street Fighter machines were equipped with. I've read that you need to learn how to play with new types of joysticks and to be honest I didn't have the patience to fiddle with it. Made one of my favorite games of all time, downright annoying (more so than CPU opponents can be). After some more research and looking at my budget for about $40 more, I found a better joystick solution. Whatever works correctly? Well, unfortunately, Hori Real Arcade Pro 4 didn't work for me. My personal playstyle has always been a factor, including in the arcade, but the replacement I found (Razor Atrox) gives me no problems and it's a "click" style joystick. The response quality of the joystick and buttons on the Atrox is amazing, I'm glad I got the Hori back. I'm only giving 2 stars because it's really well made. It just didn't work well for me.
