I'm no expert on binoculars, actually this is our first pair! But I think it's a great first pair. I wanted to keep my teenage son interested during the pandemic and after that we will be using them on nature trails to spot wildlife! I don't know any technical details but we know that they are very strong yet light enough and comfortable to wear. He said they work well, it's not difficult to focus, it's convenient. The nitrogen-filled waterproof construction is an incredibly nice feature! We are all happy!
