Review on 🔦 Gentex GENK20A Auto Dimming Mirror with Compass Temperature: Enhanced Visibility and Navigation Aid by Marcelo Apriando

50Genk20A is the same mirror as the 50Genk21A but the wiring harness is made by MITO and is designed for tougher environments thanks to built in fuses. The 21A harness is made by Gentex and is a slightly thinner wire. I opted for 20A and was glad I did. The most difficult part is to route the temperature sensor wiring harness inside the vehicle. I bought this mirror for a 2013 Honda Pilot LX. My wife wanted some sort of temperature and compass heading feedback, and the auto dimming feature is just the icing on the cake for the two things she wanted. wheel arch lining. I simply drilled a small hole in the case's (rubber) connector, routed the wires through and sealed any gaps with clear silicone. I also recommend getting a Bussmann BP/HHH Add-A-Fuse ATM with an "add a fuse" feature so you don't even have to cut the car's wiring. Just find an "auxiliary" circuit to make the mirror turn on and off with the car. After calibrating the compass (instructions included) it seems very accurate. My wife is thrilled that she has special requests for her car and I just love modifying my cars to our liking. Highly recommended, NOT designed for a specific vehicle so suitable for many applications.
