I was a bit nervous when I bought this because a lot of people complained about how small the salt and pepper compartments are. For reference, we have the standard Trader Joe salt and pepper grinders and they hold just over 1/3 of a bottle (we could probably fit more, but I didn't want to overfill them). That's certainly not a ton, but even for people who cook daily, a third of the bottle should last for a while. I'll report on durability if we run into any issues as we've just received them, but for now it's an attractive and useful set!
