It is very easy to open.
I don't know if you can call this a puzzle. It's just a small wooden box that is difficult to open. VERY easy to understand. The only difficulty is putting it back together. Other than that the quality is decent and the forty bucks I'm giving my niece would make a slightly less boring present.
