Review on 🐾 Convenient and Spacious: IRIS USA 34'' Exercise 8-Panel Pet Playpen with Door by Laura Walters

We need something for our pom pom pup who is 1 1/2 and about 9 pounds. He still can't be trusted not to potty around the house when nobody's home, and can't be left out all night for the same reason. From the original four-piece Iris pet enclosure, about 24 inches high, he could easily crawl out. He's never used to using puppy litter left at the back door of the house for other puppies who may not keep them when we're gone. So this larger pen offers a good compromise as we don't want to keep it in a smaller cage for long periods of time. He hasn't had any accidents in his favorite enclosure but we make sure we still get him out around 2:30am every night just to be safe when he's sleeping. and be bigger for it somewhere else. I liked that I could adjust and shrink it and put it out of the way so it wasn't such a focal point for the holidays. Set up like ours with two panels, it has room for 50 1/2" long and 29" wide, which is pretty good since he only sleeps in it or chews on soft toys and he's a small dog. We have a tile and if he's excited enough he can push it so we put something heavy x garden statues so he can't do that. And also having some of them on the wall really helps. What I like overall: 1. The color (which is a silver grey) which looks great on our walls. Blends better than white.2. It's easy to assemble the hinge and door lock like I did before. Otherwise I could see that it is difficult.3. It's easy to downsize as it comes with so many panels. The size sure is generous.4. Larger than the 24-inch iris pet pen, which didn't work for the same dog because it could jump over it and gnaw through the roof when we used the mesh cover. I also prefer it uncoated for ease of use. Dislikes: 1. My only complaint is that he was quick to realize that by shaking the door with his teeth he can dislodge the deadbolt which goes in the lock even when it's tight and then he comes out. We had to use small bungee cords (3) to keep it in the game arena. So if I could ask for anything useful it would be something that could possibly be a different item so it can't pick the locks. All things considered I definitely recommend it, I was worried it would come out but so far hasn't tried it but it can be a problem for some if you have a climber.
