Review on TronX Venom Inline Hockey Charcoal Sports & Fitness by Keith Stuckey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fairly thin, best in sports

I use these for my hockey league. They fit well with my gear (thighs and knees/shins). But the main criticism I have of them, and that was one of the things that was hard to find when reading reviews, is how flimsy they are. While that makes them light and breathable, it means they're prone to tearing/burning if you take a shed. I had holes in each knee after first use and have not fallen on them 30 times. Now this is easy to fix by using my hockey stick and sealing the holes with some coats. This is good practice to prevent further breakage and the band is replaced before each game. But if you're looking for thicker pants, this isn't it. Not sure if that still exists - lol - I used to have a thicker set that lasted quite a while. But if the price seems reasonable to you, just know that hockey tape can help deal with the tears that inevitably occur due to its thin nature. Note: They have two internal adjustment buckles that allow them to be loosened to rest on your hip. guards and then pulls them back. And because they are light, they are very comfortable. However, I just wish they were a little more durable, especially for playing hockey, so I had to call them 3/5.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank
