In general - I had never heard of Scepter before, so it was shot in the dark. All in all, it's not a bad buy, but there are other options to consider; I really wanted to change the "cosmetic look" of my monitors, so I bought this one despite some of its obvious flaws. The Good: Definitely a VERY lightweight monitor - HDMI and VGA inputs, no DVI - looks very clean. Bad: - Not VESA compliant, but (the good part) being light it holds up well with just two screws. Please note that the stand that this monitor comes with is very stable; However, I set it to dual monitors; hence the problem with VESA. No visible front panel controls; The typical buttons you would expect on a monitor are located on the back of the monitor, just to the top right. It would be a good idea to consult the user manual, at least for the initial setup. Ugly: - Contrast leaves something to be desired; I'm only mentioning this as FYI as it doesn't bother me that much; If it was the only one I bought I could only say it was a one time thing, but I bought two within a few days (despite the lack of good contrast).
