We have a rather small cat - he is active, he is about 4 years old and smaller than an adult cat. We bought a large box and were so surprised how big it really was once in the bathroom (I know we should have known based on the dimensions BUT us dummies didn't). The box didn't fit under our floating sink when it hit one of the pipes and we couldn't get it all the way in. We liked the way it looked so we ordered a medium and hoped for the best. It's about half the size of the big one - it fit perfectly in the space we had for it, but there wasn't enough room inside for our cat to use it comfortably. It fits in there, but its old closed box is bigger than this one. He's tried using it a few times, but after Banksy (our cat) felt uncomfortable squeezing into the hole and ran out of room over his head, he decided to sit on the lid like a toilet and poop from there - it's normal for business number 2, but he spray painter. with his urine and urinates, sitting on the lid, right on the wall behind the liter box and on the lid. It's safe to say that our bathroom has turned into a hideous war zone. Banksy has now ditched the box entirely and is using his favorite corner of the bathroom to go about his business during the day. The litter box looks great (and would probably fit a tiny cat) except it's now surrounded by a mess no one was prepared for. Banksy is unhappy. We are afraid to go to the toilet.
