This thing will wear out your thumb if you're not used to chokes (I'm not) but it works great as a cheap and sleek replacement for the ultra cheap chokes that come with bike motor kits When I got my kit and set it up, the included cheap plastic twist throttle was hanging, and as you twisted it you felt it hook from the inside. Although I could probably fix it with a file and time, I immediately lost interest in this cheap plastic junk. Another cool thing about this type of throttle is that if the knobs that came with the bike you are mounting the motor on are good, you can keep the knobs that came with the bike. I still plan on getting a decent twist throttle at some point because I prefer them, but I can't deduct points for my own thumb fatigue. People use thumb throttles with the same or more resistance than this on 4 wheel quads for hours on end. . My thumb is just not used to it. To use it with a bike motor kit I had to extend it on both sides and the core of the cable is still long but not long enough to be a problem. If this is a problem in your case, you can get new cable ends and cut off a few mm.
