Dogs love it best when it's dry

If my dogs could tell how I rate this they would surely give me 5 stars as I have 7 small dogs and this is the first time all 7 have accepted new food without reservation. devour it and ask for more. Well, full disclosure, my dogs eat mostly homemade food, but I want to make sure there are foods they eat if for some reason I'm not able to cook their food, like I did last spring when the meat was on offer. rationed due to Covid. Then I want to know that I have a commercial alternative that my dogs will accept. Given that my dogs love this food I would be tempted to give it 5 stars BUT reading the ingredients makes me a little concerned about the clumsy use of legumes and peas. I love that lamb is the first ingredient and I don't mind a turkey dish, I know "food" gets a bad rap, but when it's a by-product, pure "turkey flour" is actually home-cooked meat . to an easily digestible high-protein ingredient, I agree. Overall, this seems like a decent ingredients list, with the exception of peas, beans, and pea flour, which are so high on the list that it's kind of a cheap way out. But I love the size, they're flat, slightly crunchy pieces that even my 3.5lb Maltese, which is missing a few teeth, could handle. And judging by my dogs it tastes great so I have no problem with this being a good substitute food for my team.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...
