Bought to replace a heater I've only had 2 years. This is a different brand and style than any water heater I have ever owned. I think it was made in Sweden. Very thin and has its own built in thermometer so no copper wire or thermometer to lay aside. You have to place the heater at the foot of the bed, which was a bit of a pain as I had to run a cord to the head of the bed to connect it to the wall. Luckily the cable is really long. The controller has to be mounted on a frame and according to the instructions (yes I actually read it! LOL) you can't cover it with bedding or it won't work properly which would be wrong. Too bad if it was at the head of the bed as they can usually be placed. Instead, it ends up in the middle of the bed, so you have to be careful not to throw any sheets or blankets overboard when I tuck it in. But everything else seems to work fine; Just hope it lasts longer than 2 years. It has a 4 year limited warranty. I've been using it for 8 months now and it still works well and keeps the bed warm well.
